“Bandit” wanted for questioning over high-powered weapons found in Region 7
The Guyana Police Force (GPF) have issued a wanted bulletin for Navindra Ramsammy, also known as “Bandits” or “Criminal,” for questioning over several high-powered weapons that were found in Region Seven.
The Guyana Police Force (GPF) said that Ramsammy’s last known address is Lot 32 First Avenue, Bartica.
To this end, the GPF is urging persons with information that can lead to the whereabouts of Ramsammy to contact them on 226-6978, 225-8196, 680-6969, 455-2222, 455-3299, or any nearest police station.
On May 31, Police recovered a high-powered rifle and 26 rounds of ammunition following reports of someone “indiscriminately” discharging a firearm in Blackwater Backdam, Cuyuni River, Region Seven.
After spotting police, the suspect fled the area. Three days later, law enforcement officials received reports of the suspect being at another mining camp, and upon arrival, the suspect had already fled the scene.
At the mining camp, one Rickover 5.56 MM Rifle, one Benelli ARMI Rifle, one 13-gauge Magnum Shotgun, one FN Rifle, and 37 .223 rounds of ammunition were found.
