Woman to be sentenced on Nov. 17 for stealing over $2M from neighbour
Twenty-year-old Onicka Matthews, who is accused of stealing over $2 million in local and foreign currency from her neighbour will be sentenced on November 17, 2022.
Matthews was hauled before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court, and it is reported that on October 10, 2022, at Plum Park, Georgetown, she stole over $2 million in local and foreign currency from Bissoondai Raymond.
The Court heard that Matthews and Raymond lived in the same yard but in separate apartments.
Reports are that the 20-year-old went into the woman’s apartment without her knowledge on the day in question and stole the money.
A Police report was made, and several persons admitted to seeing Matthews entering the woman’s house. A quantity of the money was found in Matthews’s house.
