President Dr Irfaan Ali on Monday conferred two students attached to the University of Guyana with the President’s medal. The students were presented with to recognize their achievement as best graduating students of UG for the academic year 2020/2021.
The awards were presented to Davendra Kissoon and Tomeshwar Mohabir who both finished with a 4.0 GPAs of 4.0.
Kissoon completed a Bachelor of Science Degree(Civil with Environmental Engineering while Mohabir finished as best graduating student from Tain after completing his Bachelor of Education Degree(Mathematics Concentration Programme).
President Ali extended congratulatory remarks to the two new graduates and labelled their achievement as ‘superlative’.
The Head of State further highlights that the aspiration of the two graduates are in keeping with the country’s ‘development trajectory’.
The UG valedictorians received the medal in the presence of several family members at the Office of the President on Shiv Chanderpaul Drive.
