M.V Canawaima is out of operation today and will remain out of service until further notice as a result of mechanical failure of the second engine onboard the ferry vessel.
This notice was issued to the general public by the Ministry of Public Works from terminal Manager, Deyne Hayne.
The relevant authorities are currently working assiduously to have the issue rectified at the soonest time possible so that service can resume between Guyana and Suriname.
