A female relative of 24-year-old Cindy Ramchandar is accused of sharing her whereabouts with the suspect, which family members claimed led to her demise.

Ramchandar of No. 47 Village on the Corentyne was on her way to drop off a young relative at her aunt’s house on Monday when she was stabbed multiple times about her body by her ex-husband.

During an interview with MTV News Update, the dead woman’s aunt, Anita Tribhowan, said that a family member reached out to the suspect to get him to surrender to the Police.

During the conversation via WhatsApp, the relative was informed that the deceased cousin’s wife would usually notify the suspect of his ex-wife’s whereabouts, and yesterday was no different.

“He said mama call him and tell him that Cindy get a next man and she been ah beach with a man, so that’s why this boy left New Amsterdam, he get the contact from this girl that this girl (Cindy) going by she and so come he come and hide by the health center,” Tribhowan explained.

Relatives hope that a thorough investigation will be conducted, and the cousin’s wife will also be questioned about her role in the killing.

Meanwhile, Police have found the suspect’s motorcar abandoned at Palmyra on the Corentyne with some of his personal belongings along with a half-bottle of what is suspected to be a poisonous substance inside.

His mother told investigators that her son might have been planning the murder a while now as he would be heard talking about suicide. Law Enforcement Officers are still hunting for the suspect.
