Old Age Pensioners to get $28,000 one-off cash payout - President Ali announces

President Irfaan Ali moments ago announced a one-off cash payout to old age pensioners to the tune of $28,000. Pensioners are expected to receive this benefit before the end of this year.

According to President Ali, this tranche of payments will amount to some $1.8 bn from the Government's coffers.

This is just one of many measures set aside for old age pensioners in Guyana who are currently benefitting from monthly payouts of $28,000.
