Remanded: Roy John

Roy John, a 28-year-old miner who is accused of assaulting a businesswoman, has been slapped with a felonious wounding charge and remanded to prison.

The 28-year-old miner, who hails from Friendship Village, Pomeroon River, appeared before Magistrate Teriq Mohamed in the Bartica Magistrate's Court and denied the charge when it was read to him.
