East Coast man accused of raping minor remanded to prison
Thirty-four-year-old Clifton Graham of Bare Root, East Coast Demerara, was charged with rape of a child under the age of 16.
Graham appeared before Magistrate Alisha George in the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court and was not required to plead to the indictable charge.
The charge was laid contrary to Section 10 (3) of the Sexual Offences Act, Chapter 8:03.
After the charge was read to him, Graham was remanded to prison, and the case was adjourned to March 22, 2024.
