Construction worker found guilty of raping girl, 13

A 12-member jury on Friday found Clincy David, a construction worker, guilty of raping a 13-year-old girl.
David was on trial before Justice Sewnarine-Beharry at the Sexual Offences Court in Georgetown.
The matter stated that David first raped the girl on April 8, 2020, and then again on July 13, 2020. The court heard that the incident occurred in the bedroom of a house located in the county of Demerara. His sentencing has been deferred until June 10.
Attorney-at-Law Teriq Mohammed represented him while State Counsel Cecilia Corbin and State Counsel Nafeeza Baig presented the prosecution’s case.
