Anna Regina tops CSEC- Preliminary results reveal




The Ministry of Education on Monday afternoon announced the preliminary results of the Caribbean Secondary Education Council (CSEC).


The results of both exams were announced at the Anna Regina Multilateral School, Region Two by Education Minister Priya Manickchand and Chief Education Officer, Dr Marcel Hutson.

At CSEC, Guyana attained a pass rate of 68.5 %- an increase from last year.


Over 10,000 students wrote this examination but Ramoll Baboolall and Uotam Heeralall secured the most grade ones.


Both Baboolall and Heeralall hails from the Anna Regina Multilateral Secondary.

Baboolall wrote an impressive 27 subjects. He attained 24 grades ones and three grades two while Heeralall attained 24 grades ones and one grade two.


Other top performers include Daniel Dowding, Saskia Twahir and Kripa Thani.


Education Minister, Priya Manickchand congratulated the students and encouraged them to keep aiming for greatness.
