2 more witnesses testified in trial of Tik Toker, accused of trafficking cocaine

Alleged drug trafficker Lisa Ramnarine

Two more witnesses on Thursday testified in the trial of popular Tik Toker Lisa Ramnarine, who is accused of trafficking cocaine in several religious items.

Gavin Pitt and Delroy Guilliams, both ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU), testified in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court. Attorney-at-law Bernard Dasilva is representing Ramnarine, and the matter was adjourned to October 20, 2022.

Ramnarine of Hague, West Coast Demerara (WCD) had pleaded not guilty to the charge, which stated that on June 7, 2022, at DHL Express, 50 Fifth Street, Alberttown, Georgetown, she had 540 grams of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

MTV News Update previously reported that ranks of CANU, acting on information received, went to DHL Headquarters, where they intercepted a parcel containing a Hindu Havan Kund, as well as other religious items.

Upon examining the items, the suspected cocaine was found in a hidden compartment of the Kund. The sender’s information was retrieved by ranks, leading to Ramnarine’s arrest.

She was escorted to CANU’s Headquarters, where the item was dismantled in her presence, and tested positive for cocaine.
