There are currently approximately 1400 land applications still pending for Region Three, and while this may be frustrating to some citizens, Minister of Housing and Water Collin Croal assured persons his Ministry is working to meet this demand.
According to a press statement from the Ministry of Housing, Minister Croal, while addressing a house lot allocation exercise in Region Three, new lands are being sought, and plans are in progress for the construction of some 500 low-income homes to address the demand.
However, in the coming weeks, the Ministry will hold a Dream Realise land allocation exercise in the region.
At the allocation exercise on Friday, some 200 families received allocations for houselots in Stewartville and Meten-Meer-Zorg.
Similarly, some $3.4 billion is being expended on infrastructure development in the region.
