120 acres of land to construct 500 homes in Region 7

President Irfaan Ali is currently meeting with residents of Bartica and it was here that he announced that 120 acres of land will be developed for the construction of 500 homes for residents of Region Seven.

This announcement comes on the heels of an engagement with teachers and nurses.

President Ali related that there were many requests from these workers for an opportunity to benefit from the Government's housing programme.

He posited that this initiative will " not only

deliver housing it will create tremendous opportunities in the value chain of hardware resources, skilled labour, [and] transportation services."

Meanwhile, Housing and Water Minister Collin Croal is expected to meet with the residents by the end of August to further discuss this initiative and determine how it will work.
