Woman kills abusive boyfriend at Golden Grove
A 30-year-old housewife on Monday allegedly killed her boyfriend following years of abuse.
Dead is 40-year-old Michael Wilson, a labourer of Sideline Dam, Golden Grove, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
Reports are that Wilson and the housewife shared an abusive relationship, and he would constantly accuse her of infidelity.
The woman reportedly told Wilson that she was ending the relationship on Sunday night, which triggered a heated argument.
However, as the woman packed her things to leave on Monday morning, a scuffle ensued, and the 40-year-old man allegedly attacked her with a knife.
During the fight, the woman managed to get hold of the knife and stab Wilson twice. She also received stab wounds during the ordeal.
The duo was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where Wilson succumbed to his injuries. The housewife remains under Police guard at the medical institution.
