Vendor, 63, killed Adventure accident
A 63-year-old man was on Friday killed after an alleged speed car collided with him while walking along the Adventure Public Road, Essequibo Coast.
Dead is Ameer Ally, a vendor of Adventure, Essequibo Coast. The accident occurred at about 19:30h on Thursday.
According to the Guyana Police Force’s (GPF) Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), motorcar PWW 2293 was proceeding south on the Public Road at an alleged fast rate of speed when he collided with the 63-year-old man, who was walking at the corner of the road.
As a result of the collision, the man fell onto the roadway. He was picked up in an unconscious state and rushed to the Suddie Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The motorcar driver was arrested and is in Police custody, assisting with the investigation.
