Prisoner found hanging in lock-up at Leonora Station
A 46-year-old man was on Monday found hanging in the Leonora Station lock-up, one day before he was scheduled to appear in court.
The dead man has been identified as Brian Knight of Fellowship Street, Den Amstel, West Coast Demerara (WCD).
According to the Guyana Police Force (GPF), he was found at about 13:30h. He was in custody for assault and domestic violence allegedly committed on a 42-year-old female.
