‘Princey’ jailed for 15 years for raping 13-year-old girl
Prince Simpson, called ‘Princey,’ has been slapped with a 15-year jail sentence for raping a 13-year-old girl back in 2019.
Simpson, 53, was on trial before Justice Simone Morris-Ramlall of the Demerara High Court for engaging in sexual penetration with a 13-year-old girl between December 4 and 31, 2019.
Following deliberations on May 31, 2024, the jury found him unanimously guilty of the offence. He was 48 when he sexually abused the child.
State Counsels Marisa Edwards and Rbina Christmas represented the prosecution, while Simpson’s defence attorney was Madan Kissoon.
