The Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG) has postponed their two National Championships due to the unavailability of the Leonora Track and Field Facility.

The National Seniors Championship will now take place from June 24-26 while the National Youth and Junior Championship will be held from July 8-10.

This change of date is as a result of the Leonora Track and Field facility being unavailable to the Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG) this weekend.

On Saturday evening, the venue will host a Concacaf Nations League match with Guyanaā€™s Golden Jaguars taking on visitors Haiti.

The Youth and Junior Championships were initially slated for this weekend.

As per the new dates, the Senior Nationals will now be held first since June 26 deadline for submission of athletes for the World Athletics Championships.

So far, only Shomar Horatio and Keliza Smith World Athletics U20 Championships, slated for August 1 to 6.
