Murder/suicide rocks Essequibo Coast
A 25-year-old woman was today killed by her common-law reputed husband, who later died by suicide. Dead Hannah Boston, a mother of two, and Rory Francis.
According to the Police, at about 09:05h, a woman visited the Police Station and reported that Francis was trying to kill her daughter at Rivertown, Essequibo Coast.
Ranks were dispatched to the scene, and on arrival, Francis’ was found in a rice field with all windows up.
Boston was found about 10 feet from the vehicle, motionless. A black handbag was attached to her left hand, and a plastic bottle was seen next to her right hand, suspected to contain poison.
Checks were made inside motor car PAB 8894, and Sergeant Francis was seen in the driver seat, in an inclined position, and in an unconscious state.
He was extracted from the vehicle and taken to Suddie Public Hospital and Boston. The Police Sergeant died at about 13:05h.
Investigations are ongoing.
