Minor among 4 busted with $2.4M worth of cocaine, ganja at Lamaha Gardens

A minor is among four persons who were arrested by ranks of the Customs Anti Narcotic Unit (CANU) on Saturday at Bel Air Avenue, Lamaha Gardens, following the discovery of a quantity of cocaine and marijuana.

In a statement, CANU said that it conducted an operation at a residence in Bel Air Avenue, Lamaha Gardens, and a search resulted in the discovery of two parcels of suspected cocaine, a quantity of suspected cannabis.

Keith King, 55, Dexter Stewart, 49, Altheann Lyte, 33, and an underaged male were arrested and escorted to CANU’s Headquarters with the suspected narcotics.

The cocaine had a total weight of 2.292 kg, with a street value of approximately 2.4 million, while the cannabis weighed 64 grams. The quartet is presently in custody, pending further investigations.

As for King, he is no stranger to CANU. In fact, in 2013, he was charged with the 359.8 kilos of cocaine found in a lumber shipment due to be shipped to the Netherlands.
