Mechanic, 19, stabbed with scissors by unidentifiable man during fight
A mechanic is in stable condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital after being stabbed with a pair of scissors by an unidentifiable man.
The victim has been identified as Nichlous Greeves, a 19-year-old Mechanic of Stevedore Housing Scheme, North Ruimveldt, Georgetown. The incident occurred just after midnight on Friday.
MTV News Update understands that Greeves and three other friends were walking from Meadow Brook Drive to Lodge Housing Scheme.
He stopped to urinate, and as his friends proceeded ahead of him, he was confronted by two men from behind, and a scuffle ensued.
During the scuffle, one of the perpetrators, who was armed with scissors, dealt him two stabs - one to his face and one under his arm. He then raised an alarm, and his friends came to his rescue.
The two men managed to escape in an unknown direction on foot. Greeves was rushed to the Georgetown Hospital, where he was treated by a doctor on duty and admitted as a patient in the male ward. Investigation in progress.
