Man, 29, arrested for attempted murder, wounding committed on Essequibo duo
Stephen Rodrigues, 29, of Goshen Village, Essequibo River, has been arrested by Police for the attempted murder committed on Lynette Braithwaite and felonious wounding on Joseph Brathwaite.
MTV News Update understands that on December 20, 2022, Rodrigues brutally chopped Lynette and Joseph about their bodies following a misunderstanding at Foul Mouth, Essequibo River.
Following the incident, the 29-year-old man went into hiding, and the duo was rushed to the Bartica Regional Hospital but was later transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
After being on the run since, Rodrigues was captured by Police in Region Two on Saturday and is in custody, pending charges.
