Labourer,38, stabbed to death during bar fight

Ricardo Bailey, a 38-year-old labourer of Bagotstown, East Bank Demerara (EBE), was on Sunday fatally stabbed during a fight with a fellow villager at Andy's Bar.
Police said that at about 21:00h on Sunday, Bailey and the 28-year-old suspect, along with other persons, were imbibing at the back of Andy's Bar, located in Bagotstown when an argument erupted, which escalated into a fight.
Amid the fight, it is alleged that the suspect drew a knife from the waist of his pants and stabbed Bailey multiple times, then made good his escape. The 38-year-old labourer was rushed to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The man’s body was examined, and five stab wounds were seen: one to the left shoulder, left side abdomen, left hand, right side lower back, and right forearm. The suspect is still on the run as the investigation continues.
