The reputed wife of 42-year-old Quincy Weekes, who was allegedly stabbed to death on Wednesday over $1000 change, is devastated and contemplating her next move as a widow.
Weekes, also known as “Balloo,” a taxi driver of Mocha Arcadia, East Bank Demerara (EBD), was stabbed around 8:00h by his best friend during an argument over $1000 change.
The grieving mother-to-be, Abbeara Wickham, told the media she was at home when she received the devastating news that Weekes was stabbed by his best friend over the money.
In fact, an emotional Wickham said she did not expect this to happen given the friendship the two men shared.
Moreover, she related that Weekes’ last words to her before he left for work were, “I go call you later.”
The aggrieved woman said the future looks bleak as the 42-year-old man was the sole breadwinner. Notwithstanding, she described him as “a nice person, friendly and outgoing.” He currently leaves to mourn a child from a different relationship.
