Husband stabs man, injuries wife at Bushpool

A 28-year-old truck driver was on Sunday stabbed to death by a 36-year-old driver with a broken bottle after he was found imbibing with the man’s wife.

Dead is Joshua Dianid of Kwakwani Staff Hill, Upper Berbice River.

Police said the incident occurred at about 02:10h at Bushpool, Kwakwani Staff Hill.

Reports are that at about 01:45h on the day in question, the suspect’s 36-year-old wife was imbibing with Dianid.

An argument ensued, during which the suspect armed himself with a broken bottle and stabbed the 28-year-old man and his wife.

They were then rushed to the Kwakwani Hospital Complex, where they were seen by a doctor.

Dianid later died while receiving medical attention. The suspect’s wife is in stable condition as Police hunt for him.
