Healthcare worker killed in early morning accident
A 33-year-old healthcare worker and former Director of Nursing at the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital died in the wee hours of Tuesday after he reportedly lost control of the vehicle he was driving.
Dead is Mashaun Tyrell, who resided at David Street, Kitty, Georgetown. The accident occurred at about 03:00h along the Railway Embankment Road, in the vicinity of Conversation Tree, Greater Georgetown.
Based on reports, Tyrell was heading home when he lost control of the motor car and crashed into a nearby trench.
The car became submerged, and he was trapped inside. He was eventually extracted from the vehicle and rushed to a city hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
