Good Hope man electrocuted while mounting Christmas Tree at Lusignan
A 29-year-old machinist was on Friday night electrocuted while mounting a Christmas Tree at Lusignan, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
Dead is Deepak Ramdeen of Good Hope, ECD. The Guyana Police Force’s (GPF) Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) said that Ramdeen and others were erecting a metal Christmas tree when he was electrocuted.
Reports are that the star of three came into contact with a live wire, which sent shock weaves through the men's bodies.
They were all rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where the 29-year-old man succumbed while receiving treatment. Investigations are ongoing.
