Four homeless after fire razes Bartica house
A fire of unknown origin destroyed a wooden house at Bartica on Sunday morning, rendering four persons homeless.
Based on information reaching MTV News Update, the fire started around 07: 30 h in one of the bedrooms and quickly engulfed the building.
The Guyana Fire Service (GFS) managed to contain the blaze from spreading to nearby buildings. This publication understands that Lucy King and her three grandchildren occupied the house.
An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
