A 24-year-old goldsmith was on Friday stabbed to death during a game of cricket at the Muslim Youth Organization ground on Woolford Avenue, Georgetown.
Dead is Kareem Kayum of Regent Street, Bourda, Georgetown. The incident occurred at about 22:40h.
The Guyana Police Force’s (GPF) Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) reported that Kyum and the suspect are known to each other and would play cricket every Friday evening.

According to the GPF, a scuffle ensued between the duo, during which, the suspect was seen with a knife in his hand and what appeared to be blood coming from Kyum’s chest.
