Family members’ say Haslington man was shot and killed by cop because of 'past beef'

Dead: Quindon Bacchus

Twenty-three-year-old Quindon Bacchus was shot and killed by plain-clothes police at Haslington, East Coast Demerara (ECD) last Friday after allegedly attempting to sell one of the ranks a gun.

However, the family members of Quindon who spoke with MTV News Update relayed that they do not believe a bit of the police's story. Several family members who all opted to remain anonymous contended that they believe the shooting was purposeful.

According to them, the deceased victim and the rank had a 'past beef,' and since then, the cop has been picking on Quindon.

His father Lelon Julius Bacchus contended that his son has “never been a violent person. Quindon was a cool kid, always with a smile, always loving.”
