Children, 10 and 11, missing after boat capsizes in Pomeroon River

Two children, aged 10 and 11, are reportedly missing after the boat they were in capsized in the Pomeroon River, Region Two.

While the children's names are not yet available, MTV News Update understands that the incident occurred just before 21:00h.

Reports are that a 75 HP engine powered the boat, and the children and their parents were inside heading home.

When tragedy struck, the parents managed to swim to shore, but the children were no way to be found.
