Guyana’s top table tennis player Chelsea Edghill has qualified to represent the country at this year’s 2022 Pan American Championship.

The 2022 Pan American Championship will be hosted in Santiago, Chile this year from October 31 to November 6.

Guyana has a long history of good performances at this high level international multi-discipline sporting event.

Chelsea Edghill is the first to secure her spot at this year’s event. She is Guyana’s highest ranked female table tennis player, currently at 273 in the International Ranking list.

Edghill is also the first and only table tennis player to have ever represented Guyana at the Olympics when she competed at the Tokyo Olympics.
