"Region 10 is one of the most exciting regions" -Dr. Ramsaroop
President Dr. Irfaan Ali has committed to enhancing all 10 regions across Guyana while campaigning for the 2020 General Elections.
Since assuming office for just over a year the President is fulfilling his commitment.
This is according to Chief Executive Officer of the Guyana Office for Investment, Dr. Peter Ramsaroop.
Dr. Ramsaroop says during a recent visit to Linden he was able to facilitate a number of investment opportunities.
He says some 200 Lindeners will benefit from jobs once these project comes on board.
A construction company which is in the startup stage of setting up a cement plant will facilitate 150 jobs while another company has acquire land to set up a steel factory which will see some 60 persons being employed.
With works on the Linden to Mabura Highway underway, the GO –INVEST CEO says this will also pave way for jobs.
The Government has been working to create numerous job opportunities for persons in region 10.
Only recently a call center has been established where some 150 persons were able to seek employment another 150 is expected to be hired soon.
