Twelve-year-old Devi Persaud, also called ‘Ashley,’ who went missing on Monday after leaving her grandmother’s residence to visit her aunt Aklima Ali has been found.
In a statement on Thursday, the Guyana Police Force’s (GPF) Corporate Communications Unit said that Persaud was found at a house located at 12 Street Whim Village, Corentyne Berbice.
Three occupants of the house, a father, mother, and their teenage son, were taken into police custody to assist with the investigation.
MTV News Update had previously reported that the girl left her grandmother’s house to visit her aunt.
However, she never arrived at her aunt’s home, and it was only until the girl’s uncle came to pick her up that it was discovered that she was missing.
